I don't see how the altcoin market is even big enough for institutions to buy into. Nearly all the caps are under 10 billion. Even if banks thought they were likely to boom, they can't handle the volume.

Does this behavior necessarily indicate that the banks/hedge funds... etc are buying/investing more in altcoins?
Plus, technical wise, is it correct to calculate the volume in a decentralized market like crypto?
As far as I'm acknowledged, we'll be in a safe (and powerful) place if we calculated the volume of instruments with a clear/known data. Say if we want to do it for the US30 for example, the volume should calculate it from places like NYSE... etc
So any clarification regarding using volume in decentralized markets...

@Distin7V,
1) Does this behavior necessarily indicate that the banks/hedge funds... etc are buying/investing more in altcoins?
A: NO.
2) Plus, technical wise, is it correct to calculate the volume in a decentralized market like crypto?
A: That is up to you.
I use it like I use other tools here by just looking at past history, so far it has been working good and as expected.
