Pullback happens when some traders wanna take Profit or some insist in going the opposite direction.
Not in all cases that happen so sometimes i just watch PA and follow the flow.

Nice idea on XAUUSD and there may be potential gains as you have identified by going short. For our set up, we have identified the key resistance and support levels. Currently, price is approaching our first resistance at 1214.5. It is a horizontal overlap resistance and a 23.6% Fibonacci retracement. Ichimoku cloud is also showing signs of bearish pressure in line with our bearish bias. If a drop does occur, we may want to take a look at the 1192.6 support level. It is a horizontal overlap support and a 76.4% Fibonacci retracement.

I think a pullback to the 1st Resistance will bring the price to your major support.
However if buyers push the price back to the second resistance then it will form a range and you know the market will consolidate for a while before any good movement.

When selling a perfect BAMM, you do not wanna see price making HL.
Stop loss is Above the seller's territory, that's above the 100% Retracement of the TEXTBOOK (VF).
