Ripple's XRP has risen sharply in the last few days, climbing almost 90% in the space of 24 hours after suffering a steep decline.
The XRP rose to as much as $1.71 today, according to CoinMarketCap.
At this price, XRP was up roughly 88% over the space of 24 hours, additional CoinMarketCap figures show.
Ripple's XRP token has been on a roller coaster the last few weeks, climbing to an all-time high of $3.84 earlier this month.
While this sharp rise generated many headlines, the digital asset soon went in to a free fall, which resulted in its price falling below $1 on January 16 and quickly reaching a local low of $0.898, CoinMarketCap data shows.
