The Moving Average Adaptive Q (MAAQ) was authored by Perry Kaufman in the Stocks and Commodities Magazine 06/1995
This is similar to his Kaufman Adaptive Moving Average with a few changes. This is a pretty close moving average which I like quite a bit. Try it and let me know what you think.
Send me a message and let me know what other indicators you would like to see!

I changed the fast and slow lengths to allow someone to use their own custom inputs
@TriBeCa_, You add this indicator to a chart of your choosing then click on the gears to change the settings of the indicator and you can add the default signals there to create alerts

Great stuff, thanks for the script.
How "sensitive" are the variables "fastSc" and "slowSc" ?
How did you decide for the default values of 0.0667, respectively 0.0645 ?

@m140u, I used a default of 2 days for the fastSc (2 / (2 + 1)) and a default of 30 days for the slowSc (2 / (30 + 1)) but as I write that out I realized that I should update my script to allow someone to change the periods for themselves so I'm going to do that now

Can you Explain the chart how it will work.

@laasya, This is a type of moving average so you would buy when the current stock price goes above the signal line and sell when the price goes below the line. I have the line color coded so you know when to buy or sell
Can I create alerts with this?
Thank you
