We display here the ADX has a colored histogram, which is
- green when ADX and DI+ are higher then DI-, while the ADX is increasing, meaning that we are in a potential uptrend--> we should rather be long (only buy if you have other concordant signals !)
- red when ADX and DI- are higher then DI+, while the ADX is increasing, meaning that we are in a potential...
This technique was described by William Blau in his book "Momentum,
Direction and Divergence" (1995). His book focuses on three key aspects
of trading: momentum, direction and divergence. Blau, who was an electrical
engineer before becoming a trader, thoroughly examines the relationship between
price and momentum in step-by-step examples. From this...
ChartMill Value Indicator & Modified ChartMill Value Indicator :
Developed by Dirk Vandycke, CVI tracks how far the price spread is from its MA. Since MA keeps increasing even when price consolidates or stalls, it is very difficult for the deviation from a moving average to remain in the overbought or oversold regions for extended...
It is a normal Directional Movement Index, but instead of using lines for +DI and -DI it uses histogram and 4 colors. It also contains an horizontal line (default value @20) to indicate when a trend is confirmed or not.
The indicator gives a multiplication of ADX and the DI+ and DI-values, color coded for bullish or bearish momentum
the indicator was optimised for use with HA-candles, but works with regular candles as well
and shows general market direction en divergence in a simpler visual way than the normal ADX-DI lines
a threshold mask can be shown or omitted as...
A simple modification of the built-in "Average Directional Index":
To identify wether there is an uptrend or a downtrend, the function color is conditional:
no trend: black
small uptrend (weak threshold): light green
big uptrend (strong threshold): green
small downtrend (weak threshold): light red
big downtrend (strong threshold): red
This script is the same as NOT-ONLY-LONG but without the security() function.
It use the following indicators: RMI + ADX + RSI + ICHIMOKU cloud only.
The fuchsia dot is the average price of the positions. The Take Profit is calculated from there.
It does not have Stop Loss, instead it makes a re-entry to try to improve the liquidation price.
Here you get a script with the rules for "Glory Hole"-Strategy from Linda Raschke.
In Addition, I choose the SMA - not the EMA for this script.
If you get a trade Signal, then set an sell- oder buy-order on the high or low. If the next bar doesn't touch into the trade, then delete your order.
Have fun and good look.
Plots the multiple time frame version of the classic ADX-DI indicoator.
DI+ and DI-
DI Histogram difference with 2 threshold lookback values
For a similar multiple time frame indicator see the following scripts. They both use the historical + projection approach to yield non-repainting indicators.
This is a special ADX and DI which includes the following additional functions:
cr1- allows you to set alerts based on if DI+ and DI- crossover each other leading to a new trend
cr2- shows a constant background highlight of a trend.
ADX threshold- you can set a threshold value so that any readings below that are ignored and the indicator paints a blank black...
This is the 3rd version of Kay_BBands.
When +DI (Directional Index ) is above -DI , then Upper band will be visible and vice-versa.
This is when the ADX is above the threshold. 28 is the default in this version. I found its more appealing in 5M time frame.
BLUE - ADX under 10
GREEN - Uptrend, ADX over 10
RED - Downtrend, ADX over 10
Use it with another band...
Let's try the Version 4 ...
This script is only for long positions.
It's based on the conjunction of RMI + ADX + RSI for entries and only with Take Profit to close the position.
It doesn't have security (), nor Heikin Ashi, so the Backtest is Real.
Use always 'Once per bar'.
It doesn't repaint absolutely nothing at all.
Timeframe: 15 minutes
This indicator combines two separate Simple RSI indicators so you can show different periods together, as well as an ADX indicator with DI+ and DI-. I prefer to use one indicator to show the whole thing, instead of stacking the individual indicators.
