Gold prices were muted around $1,670, remaining sideways for a second session as investors avoided making big bets ahead of US inflation data.

If the current resistance at 1800 is not broken, it will first make a pullback to 1700 which is a perfect 50% retracement before moving on to 1875 to 2000.
