XAU, is going to start reacting to the bullishness of the DXY since FOMC in mid june, with DXY looking to start an uptrend we have to start looking for metals to slide down, XAU made an attempt to break the downwards trend and could not pursue its dream, thus resulting in a 'fakey' we can now expect strong bearish momentum as price capitulates the bulls.
