Institutional Traders does not always ride the wave early!

As seen from this chart, using the CoT indicator which gets its data from quandl, COT is commitment of traders, which is mainly used for futures trading, COT shows Institutional traders (black line) vs professional traders (blue line) and retail traders (red line), as anyone can notice that professional traders usually ride the wave before anyone does, even when institutions are shorting!

this case is happening now, as professionals are heavily going long, while institutions are heavily shorting!
