Monero is the only coin right now to be truly 100% opaque, in an era where bitcoin's myth of being anonymous is finally getting shattered to the crypto-public, and fiat money offshore/fiscal heavens are being pointed out to the general population
The three big points, as usual :
- Catalysts : potentially smart/big money's (very early investors) exposure to government tax, regulations, increasing grasp over sensitive country resisdent's money (see bittrex scandal few weeks ago)
- Fundamentals : the only crypto out there 100% opaque. I personally have no trust in DASH at all, and Zcash, while seemingly a solid project, is fundamentally flawed for big money : since anonymity is optional and only about 10% are indeed anonymous, time analysis on this small portion of transaction would make big amounts waaaay too visible.
Both are also semi-centralized, which is a double edge sword. I have nothing against centralization in essence. As much as people like to hate on governements, without them, the world would be utter chaos in it's current form. It's great if the centralization is trustworthy, awful if it is not.
Nonetheless, the optimisation and decentralization, and opaqueness of monero makes it perfect today for big money to secure their wealth, or businesses/institutions to hide contracts from their competition. As utopic as are public blockchains, I doubt airplane manufacturer A. would like to share its multi billion dollars contracts with manufacturer B., and vice versa, if you know what I mean
- Technical analysis :
current entry is not optimal for traders and swingers, wait for a dip to limit exposure. Any retrace to lower support offers an excellent buy opportunity, any touch of the resistance should be met with caution if you are not a buy-and-hold investor. Overall longterm should be rewarding
