UK Stocks Set to Open Lower

UK stocks were set to open lower on Tuesday, weighed down by weak global sentiment after better-than-expected US services activity data stoked fears that the Federal Reserve will keep on raising interest rates.

Investors also reacted to data showing UK retail sales growth continued to lag behind inflation, while awaiting more British data to gauge the health of the economy.

FTSE 100 futures fell 0.2% in early trade.
