This is an edit to an existing script. Original credits to pigloo and Ivturner for the slight tweak.
What's been changed:
This version allows Bitfinex $BTC longs/shorts to be viewed on any chart. It can be helpful when trading alts to find out why price is fluctuating.
I've added a price tracker that will show you BFX's BTCUSD value if you have indicator...
Since the last BTC Short Squeeze on Bitmex maintenance I decided to made a Indicator plotting Long:Short ratio, and their respective graphs.
Green = Longs
Red = Shorts
Black = Ratio (Longs:Shorts)*Close <= Close price just for chart normalization!
I hope you find it useful.
NOTE: It isn't a prospective indicator, but try to find out who's bitching the market...
BSI provides two attractive graphs that breakdown the long (green area) and short (red area) positions ratio for the all Bitfinex margin cryptocurrency pairs only.
It is a quantitative measure of the bullishness or bearishness that can be used as a trading rule or in a trading system entries or exits. Included slow stochastic oscillator.
Green area = Longs
Red area = Shorts
Lighter area = Longs - Shorts

Volume substitute for those who prefer to use the XBT ticker. Renko on a small time scale is a good option, but lacks wicks.
Can be used as a non-overlay indicator by detaching. Differences are more visible on large time scales, or on Renko.
Possible future changes:
Make the columns more volatile
Change column color based on previous column's value
This script tracks the net Bitfinex margin sizes from candle to candle (longs - shorts), and divide it by the total volume from the previous candle. This should give you a ratio of net margin trading volume over total volume on Bitfinex.
Note that assuming the delay is not severe, this ratio should never exceed 1 or -1 (since margin traded volume should strictly...
This is a rewrite of the original:
I really like the above script (Thank you Pastafarian!) but it was annoying that
it always took so long to load, so I made some edits so it would run faster.
Basically I replaced all the custom code (the sum loop and the calculations)
