Love or hate BCH, there seems to be a lot cooking behind the scenes in the mining community, large institutional partnerships for BCH, and media attention. Keep in mind that newcomers to blockchain don't have deep rooted loyalties to BTC or BCH, nor care much about politics. They only know what they're told, which is the "faster, cheaper, real Bitcoin." And all they see is a "Bitcoin" that is 10% the price of BTC.
