Here my analysis about Accumulation and distribution on BTC/USDT Pair
Ranges that are formed at the end of a previous trend bring a balance in supply and demand of the market
In usch ranges, neither buying nor seilling activity will be large enough to create signifiant movements towards upside or downside
ACCUMULATION :
Sideways market activity that happens after an extended downtrend (smart money try to acquire position without moving the prices too much to the upside)
DISTRIBUTION :
Range bound market activity that happens after an extended uptrend (smart money try to sell off their positions without moving the prices much to the downside)
Richard Wyckoff offered detailled guildelines for spotting accumulation and distribution phases on certain patterns that take place within them.
WYCKOFF PATTERNS :
PRELIMINARY SUPPORT :
- Substantial buying begins to provide pronounced support after a prolonged down-move
-Volume increases and price spread widens
SELLING CLIMAX :
- Widening Spread and selling pressure usually climaxes
- Heavy or panic selling by the public is being absorbed by smart money at or near a bottom
AUTOMATIC RALLY :
- Intense selling pressure is greatly diminushed ( a wave of buying pushes prices up)
- The high of this rally will help define the upper boundary of an accumulation trading range
SECONDARY TEST :
- Price revisits the area of the selling climax to test the supply/demand balance
- Volume and price spread should be significantly diminished
- There is multiple secondary test
SIGN OF STRENGHT :
- Price advance on increasing spread and relatively higher volume
- A sign of strenght takes place after a spring
SPRING :
- Price fails below its trading range, makes a new panic fow and then springs back into its previous range
LAST POINT OF SUPPORT :
- Low point of a Pullback after a sign of strenght
- A last point of support makes a higher low and then turns upward
BACK UP :
- Common structural element preceding a more substancial price mark-up
- Can take on a variety of forms, including a simple pullback or a new trading range at a higher level
