After one year consolidation, inside this price range 8- 10, all buyers and sellers had chance to buy/sell this stock at their planed price. So, there will be much less aggressive buyers and sellers inside this price range. once the market maker moves the price up by raising the limit buy order, with huge volume. Price could go through this range quickly. overall, longer term consolidation, this price range could be used same as GAP.
