The Nikkei 225 Index Closes 1.81% Higher

In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 Index rose 847 points or 1.81 percent on Wednesday.

Leading the gains are AEON (8.54%), Kubota (7.24%) and Hitachi (5.51%).
