The FTSE 100 Index Closes 0.99% Higher

In London, the FTSE 100 Index went up by 93 points or 0.99 percent on Wednesday.

Top gainers were Persimmon (6.38%), Howden Joinery (5.60%) and Barclays (4.94%).

Biggest losses came from Rolls-Royce (-2.56%), Burberry (-1.07%) and Fresnillo (-1.04%).
