Directional Movement Index and ADXDMI (ADX) consists of three indicators that measure a trend’s strength and direction. Three lines compose the Direction Movement Index (DMI): ADX (white/gray line), DI+ (green line), and DI- (orange line). The Average Directional Index (ADX) line shows the strength of the trend. The higher the ADX value, the stronger the trend. The ADX line is white when it has a positive slope, otherwise it is gray.
The Plus Direction Indicator (DI+) and Minus Direction Indicator (DI-) show the current price direction. When the DI+ is above DI-, the current price momentum is up. When the DI- is above DI+, the current price momentum is down.
Trend detection: When the background has a bluish color there is an upward trend, and when the background has a reddish color there is a downward trend.
Includes an information panel that shows the current value and trend of some well-known indicators.

All in one [Liubam]Hey tradingviewers!
This is an All in one Indicator for those who can't add too many indicators on your charts. Inspired by ©LonesomeTheBlue "Indicators all in one" script. I found a lot of very interesting scripts on the public library and I decided to make a tool with some of the greatest IMO, adding some modifications to improve the indicators. With this tool you can plot 1 of 6 different indicators by selecting it from a drop-down list (on the indicator settings).
All the credit goes to it's respective owners (taggeds).
THIS INDICATOR INCLUDES:
1. Classic RSI with some OB/OS tools:
The relative strength index (RSI) is a popular momentum indicator displayed as an oscillator (a line graph that moves between two extremes) that measures the magnitude of recent price changes to evaluate overbought or oversold conditions, in other words it shows signals about bullish and bearish price momentum. I added some visual improvements to help you finding the OB/OS zones.
2. Classic CCI with some OB/OS tools.
The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) is a momentum-based oscillator used as market indicator to help determine market movements that may indicate buying or selling. Added some vistual improvements to the chart.
3. ADX and DMI oscillator with the keylevel coded by @console:
The Average Directional Index (ADX) is non-directional indicator used by some traders to determine the strength of a trend. When the ADX line is rising (Above the keylevel) trend strength is increasing, and the price moves in the direction of the trend whether up or down. Otherwise, low ADX (Below the keylevel) is usually a sign of accumulation or distribution (Range). Non-trending doesn't mean the price isn't moving. It may not be, but the price could also be making a trend change or is too volatile for a clear direction to be present.
Suggested settings of the keylevel is 23-25.... REMEMBER: The trend may be your friend.
4. MFI
The Money Flow Index (MFI) is a technical oscillator for identifying overbought or oversold signals in an asset. Unlike conventional oscillators such as the RSI, the Money Flow Index incorporates both price and volume data, as opposed to just price. It can also be used to spot divergences which warn of a trend change in price.
5. Stochastic:
A stochastic oscillator is range-bound, meaning it is always between 0 and 100. This makes it a useful indicator of overbought and oversold conditions. Traditionally, readings over 80 are considered in the overbought range, and readings under 20 are considered oversold. However, these are not always indicative of impending reversal; very strong trends can maintain overbought or oversold conditions for an extended period. Instead, traders should look to changes in the stochastic oscillator for clues about future trend shifts. I added some features for this popular indicator to show the stochastic crosses.
6. The famous Squeeze momentum Indicator made by @Lazybear:
This is derivate of John Carter's "TTM Squeeze" volatility indicator and its very strong when using with trending indicator such a ADX. Black line (or no-line) on the midline show that the market just entered a squeeze ( Bollinger Bands are with in Keltner Channel). This signifies low volatility , market preparing itself for an explosive move (up or down). Gray line signify "Squeeze release". Mr.Carter suggests waiting till the gray line after a blackline, and taking a position in the direction of the momentum (for ex., if momentum value is above zero, go long). Exit the position when the momentum changes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This script is source code protected, but you can add to your favorite list to use it. Also you can add twice to use 2 different indicators at the same time (E.g. Squeeze Momentum Indicator + ADX)
An additional indicator I made (MA Hunterz + InfoPanel) is needed to not miss good entry points.
Your valuable comment and feedback is much appreciated...
And remember indicators can be really helpfull but always use Price Action.
(JS)DMI BarsAlright - so this is my own version of John Carter's "10x Bars"... I have done multiple things that are different from his version so they are slightly different..
So first of all the main indicator is based off of the ADX and the DMI;
For those who aren't familiar with it, Directional Movement is what you'd pull up under "built-in's" from the indicators tab (if you want to check it out).
The standard interpretation of this however, is when the ADX is above 20 that suggests the trend is strong, whereas under 20 suggests it is weak.
Also, when the D+ is above the D- that suggests a bullish trend, and D- above D+ suggests a bearish trend.
These bars take away the need to have it at the bottom of your screen, and places the data on the bars on your chart instead.
=========================================================================================================================================
So here's what the colors stand for -
Yellow - The ADX is under 20, no strength in trend
Shades of green occur when the ADX is above 20 and there's a bullish trend (D+ higher than D-)
Bright Green (Lime) - Bullish trend, D+ above 30
Green - Bullish Trend
Yellow Green - Bullish trend, D+ below 15
Shades of red occur when the ADX is above 20 and there's a bearish trend (D- higher than D+)
Bright Red - Bearish trend, D- above 30
Red - Bearish Trend
Orange - Bearish trend, D- below 15
=========================================================================================================================================
I have also added multiple time frame labels (label script used is the one created by Ricardo Santos)
These labels are color coded the same as the bars/candles, and they appear off to the right of your screen using every built in time increment from TradingView.
The purpose is to show you in real time, and on any chart resolution, what the current trend is on every individual time frame.
So using just one single chart you'll see your current resolutions candles, but also on the labels you'll see:
1 Minute
3 Minute
5 Minute
15 Minute
30 Minute
45 Minute
1 Hour
2 Hour
3 Hour
4 Hour
Daily
Weekly
Monthly
There is an input I added that allows you to adjust where your labels appear on the side of your screen as well!
=========================================================================================================================================
Now onto the volume spike portion of the indicator. This will plot a blue dot under each bar that has a spike in volume which meets your specified criteria.
I have 500% as the default setting.
What that means is that this indicator looks back and gets the 50 bar volume average and then applies dots where volume is 500% above average.
=========================================================================================================================================
Now finally, the reversal arrows. This is another simple to understand concept that I first read in John Carter's book "Mastering the Trade" that he calls "HOLP/LOHP".
I have added the ability to change the look back period you'd like the indicator to watch for highs and lows on.
What that stands for is 'High of Low Period' and 'Low of High Period', and it is used like this-
Whenever a bar makes a new high the indicator watches the low on that highest bar. Then when a bar afterwards makes a lower low then the one on the high bar,
a reversal arrow is given. Apply this same concept in the other direction in for the highs on the lowest bars.
=========================================================================================================================================
Now, I didn't want to make a "set" or have a bunch of different indicators out there that are all intended for the same package, so I took the time to put them together,
and if there's a part of it you don't care for they can easily be turned off in the settings.
Enjoy!
Combo Strategy 123 Reversal and ADXR This is combo strategies for get
a cumulative signal. Result signal will return 1 if two strategies
is long, -1 if all strategies is short and 0 if signals of strategies is not equal.
First strategy
This System was created from the Book "How I Tripled My Money In The
Futures Market" by Ulf Jensen, Page 183. This is reverse type of strategies.
The strategy buys at market, if close price is higher than the previous close
during 2 days and the meaning of 9-days Stochastic Slow Oscillator is lower than 50.
The strategy sells at market, if close price is lower than the previous close price
during 2 days and the meaning of 9-days Stochastic Fast Oscillator is higher than 50.
Secon strategy
The Average Directional Movement Index Rating (ADXR) measures the strength
of the Average Directional Movement Index (ADX). It's calculated by taking
the average of the current ADX and the ADX from one time period before
(time periods can vary, but the most typical period used is 14 days).
Like the ADX, the ADXR ranges from values of 0 to 100 and reflects strengthening
and weakening trends. However, because it represents an average of ADX, values
don't fluctuate as dramatically and some analysts believe the indicator helps
better display trends in volatile markets.

XAU/USD Strategy with Correct ADX and Bollinger Bands Fill1. *Indicators Used*:
- *Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs)*: Two EMAs (20-period and 50-period) are used to identify the trend direction and potential entry points based on crossovers.
- *Relative Strength Index (RSI)*: A momentum oscillator that measures the speed and change of price movements. It identifies overbought and oversold conditions.
- *Bollinger Bands*: These consist of a middle line (simple moving average) and two outer bands (standard deviations away from the middle). They help to identify price volatility and potential reversal points.
- *Average Directional Index (ADX)*: This indicator quantifies trend strength. It's derived from the Directional Movement Index (DMI) and helps confirm the presence of a strong trend.
- *Average True Range (ATR)*: Used to calculate position size based on volatility, ensuring that trades align with the trader's risk tolerance.
2. *Entry Conditions*:
- *Long Entry*:
- The 20 EMA crosses above the 50 EMA (indicating a potential bullish trend).
- The RSI is below the oversold level (30), suggesting the asset may be undervalued.
- The price is below the lower Bollinger Band, indicating potential price reversal.
- The ADX is above a specified threshold (25), confirming that there is sufficient trend strength.
- *Short Entry*:
- The 20 EMA crosses below the 50 EMA (indicating a potential bearish trend).
- The RSI is above the overbought level (70), suggesting the asset may be overvalued.
- The price is above the upper Bollinger Band, indicating potential price reversal.
- The ADX is above the specified threshold (25), confirming trend strength.
3. *Position Sizing*:
- The script calculates the position size dynamically based on the trader's risk per trade (expressed as a percentage of the total capital) and the ATR. This ensures that the trader does not risk more than the specified percentage on any single trade, adjusting the position size according to market volatility.
4. *Exit Conditions*:
- The strategy uses a trailing stop-loss mechanism to secure profits as the price moves in the trader's favor. The trailing stop is set at a percentage (1.5% by default) below the highest price reached since entry for long positions and above the lowest price for short positions.
- Additionally, if the RSI crosses back above the overbought level while in a long position or below the oversold level while in a short position, the position is closed to prevent losses.
5. *Alerts*:
- Alerts are set to notify the trader when a buy or sell condition is met based on the strategy's rules. This allows for timely execution of trades.
### Summary
This strategy aims to capture significant price movements in the XAU/USD market by combining trend-following (EMAs, ADX) and momentum indicators (RSI, Bollinger Bands). The dynamic position sizing based on ATR helps manage risk effectively. By implementing trailing stops and alert mechanisms, the strategy enhances the trader's ability to act quickly on opportunities while mitigating potential losses.
RDX Relative Directional IndexRDX Relative Directional Index, Strength + Direction + Trend. This indicator is the combination of RSI and DMI or ADX. RDX aims at providing Relative direction of the price along with strength of the trend. This acts as both RSI and Average Directional Index. as the strength grows the RSI line becomes wider and when there is high volatility and market fluctuation the line becomes thinner. Color decides the Direction. This indicator provides sideways detection of RSI signal.
RDX Width: This determines the strength of RSI and Strength of ADX, The strength grows RDX band grows wider, as strength decreases band shrinks and merge into the RSI line. for exact working simply disable RSI plot on the indicator. when there is no strength the RSI vanishes..

Multi-Timeframe 10XIMPORTANT NOTE:
-> The timeframe for this indicator must be set at 1 minute;
-> If the chart timeframe is higher than 1 minute, the results shown in the table for timeframes lower than the chart will not be correct;
-> Tradingview's own documentation explains this as follows: " It is not recommended to request data of a timeframe lower that the current chart timeframe, for example 1 minute data from a 5 minutes chart. The main problem with such a case is that some part of a 1 minute data will be inevitably lost, as it’s impossible to display it on a 5 minutes chart and not to break the time axis. In such cases the behavior of security can be rather unexpected "; and
-> It is therefore recommended that this indicator is placed in a standalone 1min chart window, and the window resized to only show the table to avoid any issues.

-> John Carter applying the DMS to create the popular Simpler Trading 10X Bars indicator.
Introduction:
Quickly see the quality and strength of a trend based on Directional Movement Index (DMI).
The Average Directional Index (ADX), Minus Directional Indicator (-DI) and Plus Directional Indicator (+DI) represent a group of directional movement indicators that form a trading system developed by Welles Wilder. Although Wilder designed his Directional Movement System with commodities and daily prices in mind, these indicators can also be applied to stocks. Wilder determined directional movement by comparing the difference between two consecutive lows with the difference between their respective highs.
+DI and -DI are derived from smoothed averages of these differences and measure trend direction over time. These two indicators are often collectively referred to as the DMI. ADX is in turn derived from the smoothed averages of the difference between +DI and -DI; it measures the strength of the trend (regardless of direction) over time.
Trade Signals:
-> Green indicates an uptrend i.e. when +DI is above -DI and ADX is greater than 20 - there is more upward pressure than downward pressure in the price;
-> Red indicates a downtrend i.e. when -DI is above +DI and ADX is greater than 20 - there is more downward pressure on the price; and
-> Yellow indicates no strong directional trend and potential for a reversal.
Standalone Indicator:
The 10X Bars version of the indicator can be found here:
MACD PlusMoving Average Convergence Divergence – MACD
The MACD is an extremely popular indicator used in technical analysis. It can be used to identify aspects of a security's overall trend. Most notably these aspects are momentum, as well as trend direction and duration. What makes the MACD so informative is that it is actually the combination of two different types of indicators. First, the MACD employs two Moving Averages of varying lengths (which are lagging indicators) to identify trend direction and duration. Then, it takes the difference in values between those two Moving Averages (MACD Line) and an EMA of those Moving Averages (Signal Line) and plots that difference between the two lines as a histogram which oscillates above and below a center Zero Line. The histogram is used as a good indication of a security's momentum.

Squeeze Pro
Traditionally, John Carter's version uses 20 period SMAs as the basis lines on both the BB and the KC.
In this version, I've given the freedom to change this and try out different types of moving averages.
The original squeeze indicator had only one Squeeze setting, though this new one has three.
The gray dot Squeeze, call it a "low squeeze" or an "early squeeze" - this is the easiest Squeeze to form based on its settings.
The orange dot Squeeze is the original from the first Squeeze indicator.
And finally, the yellow dot squeeze, call it a "high squeeze" or "power squeeze" - is the most difficult to form and suggests price is under extreme levels of compression.
Colored Directional Movement Index (CDMI) , a custom interpretation of J. Welles Wilder’s Directional Movement Index (DMI), where :
DMI is a collection of three separate indicators ( ADX , +DI , -DI ) combined into one and measures the trend’s strength as well as its direction
CDMI is a custom interpretation of DMI which presents ( ADX , +DI , -DI ) with a color scale - representing the trend’s strength, color density - representing momentum/slope of the trend’s strength, and triangle up/down shapes - representing the trend’s direction. CDMI provides all the information in a single line with colored triangle shapes plotted on the bottom. DMI can provide quality information and even trading signals but it is not an easy indicator to master, whereus CDMI simplifies its usage. The CDMI adds additional insight of verifying/confirming the trend as well as its strength
Label :

Displaying adx and di+/di- values
Displaying adx's momentum (growing or falling)

Ability to display historical values of DMI readings displayed in the label.
Added "Expert Trend Locator - XTL"
The XTL was developed by Tom Joseph (in his book Applying Technical Analysis ) to identify major trends, similar to Elliott Wave 3 type swings.
Blue bars are bullish and indicate a potential upwards impulse.
Red bars are bearish and indicate a potential downwards impulse.
White bars indicate no trend is detected at the moment.
Added "Williams Vix Fix" signal. The Vix is one of the most reliable indicators in history for finding market bottoms. The Williams Vix Fix is simply a code from Larry Williams creating almost identical results for creating the same ability the Vix has to all assets.
The VIX has always been much better at signaling bottoms than tops. Simple reason is when market falls retail traders panic and increase volatility , and professionals come in and capitalize on the situation. At market tops there is no one panicking... just liquidity drying up.
The FE green triangles are "Filtered Entries"
The AE green triangles are "Aggressive Filtered Entries"
Squeeze Momentum [Plus]The "Momentum" in this indicator is smoothed out using linear regression. The Momentum is what is displayed on the indicator as a histogram, its purpose is obvious (to show momentum).
What is a Squeeze? A squeeze occurs when Bollinger Bands tighten up enough to slip inside of Keltner Channels .
This is interpreted as price is compressing and building up energy before releasing it and making a big move.
Now to explain the parameters:
Squeeze Input - This is just the source for the Squeeze to use, default value is closing price.
Length - This is the length of time used to calculate the Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels .
Bollinger Bands Calculation Type - Selects the type of moving average used to create the Bollinger Bands .
Keltner Channel Calculation Type - Selects the type of moving average used to create the Keltner Channel.
Color Format - you to choose one of 5 different color schemes.
Draw Divergence - Self explanatory here, this will auto-draw divergence on the indicator.
Gray Background for Dark Mode - to make them more visually appealing.
Added ADX (Average Directional Index) that measure a trend’s strength. The higher the ADX value, the stronger the trend. The ADX line is white when it has a positive slope, otherwise it is gray. When the ADX has a very large dispersion with respect to the momentum histogram, increase the scale number.
Added "H (Hull Moving Average) Signal". Hull is a extremely responsive and smooth moving average created by Alan Hull in 2005. Have option to chose between 3 Hull variations.
Simple reason is when market falls retail traders panic and increase volatility, and professionals come in and capitalize on the situation. At market tops there is no one panicking... just liquidity drying up.

(JS) Triple StochasticSo I ended up adding a ton of stuff to my prior Double Stochastic script which you can see here .
The concept of the Double was to smooth out the existing Stochastic by applying a Stochastic to the existing Stochastic (hence the Double). My concept for the Triple Stochastic is much different. It combines a regular stochastic, stochastic RSI, and the double stochastic to get a smoothed output based on all 3.
Also - since I love being able to see a Squeeze (see my Squeeze Pro indicators - Squeeze Pro 2 & Squeeze Pro Overlays ) I added the Squeeze to the Stochastic (the dots). If you're unfamiliar with how a Squeeze works, or what it is, check out my links for explanation. A quick explanation however is that the Squeeze is an indicator that was invented by John Carter that detects price compression before a big move out of a range. This is done by using Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels, the BB shrink inside the KC. The color of the dots represent the depth of the BB in the KC, white (or black) being the lightest squeeze, red being the standard squeeze, and yellow being the strongest squeeze. Now on to the indicator:
The first thing you'll notice is the options available for the type of Stochastic you'd like to use:
Standard : This is a regular Stochastic
Stochastic RSI : This is the standard Stochastic RSI
Double : This is the Stochastic on top of a Stochastic from the prior version
Triple : This is simply an average of all 3 of the above combined together
(Top indicator shows the Triple Stochastic)
The options "K", "D", and "Smooth" are the settings from a regular Stochastic used to set up the type of Stochastic you choose to use.
Now let's say you're not sure how one type performs compared to another, or you like the quickest momentum change but also like to see the smoothest trend, or you want to use the same types of Stochastic and watch for them to cross like moving averages - for these reasons I added the ability to add a second Stochastic for comparison.
(2nd indicator shows a fast and slow Triple Stochastic together)
Quite obviously, the "K 2", "D 2", and "Smooth 2" are what is used in order to set the parameters for the second Stochastic.
Now another thing I added was the option to replace the regular Stochastic and instead look at the distance between the K and D. By turning off "Use K% and D%" you get to see this in action. To put it simply, a cross above zero would indicate a positive Stochastic crossover, and a cross below zero would represent the opposite. There's also an option titled "SMA Length using Difference" which, to smooth this out a bit, allows you to apply a moving average to the distance. By setting it at 1 you'd see the actual distance between K and D.
(3rd indicator shows the K and D distance used as a plot)
Another thing I wanted to do was add a different type of background that wasn't based on the indicator itself. I decided to use ADX & DMI which is a great way to determine the trend. When you select "ADX/DMI BG" the BG colors will change from being based on the indicator to being based on ADX and DMI.
(The 3rd indicator also shows the ADX/DMI BG being used).
And now finally the last feature I decided to add takes us back to the Squeeze. Essentially it is just the Stochastic shown through the lens of Squeeze momentum, as I ended up plugging the Stochastic output into the Squeeze momentum formula to create an oscillator. By selecting "Use Oscillator" you will see this in action as well.
(Bottom indicator shows the oscillator addition)
MA Crossover Strategy with MA Turning Point Exits + ADX filterThis strategy is based upon @rthomson's MA Crossover Strategy with MA Turning Point Exits.
I just added an ability to filter out entries when ADX < 20. In fact you have a choice to set this ADX threshold value.
In a sideways market, the MA crossovers end up in yielding entry trades with losses. ADX value around 20 to 25 indicates a sideway market. By introducing ADX threshold, we are trying to prevent potential loss making entries.
Buy Only Strategy with Dynamic Re-Entry and ExitThe strategy aims to create a simple buy-only trading system based on moving average crossovers and the Weekly Commodity Channel Index (CCI) or Weekly Average Directional Index (ADX). It generates buy signals when the fast-moving average crosses above the slow-moving average and when the Weekly CCI and or Weekly ADX meet the specified conditions.
The strategy also allows for dynamic re-entry, which means it can open new long positions if the price goes above the three moving averages after an exit. However, the strategy will exit the long position if the price closes below the third moving average.
ENTRY CONDITIONS
The script defines the conditions for generating buy signals. It checks for two conditions for a valid buy signal:
• If the fast-moving average crosses above the slow-moving average -THERE IS Dynamic Re-Entry also
• If the user chooses HE OR SHE CAN FILTER TRADES BY USING CCI OR ADX
Dynamic Re-Entry:
the script allows for dynamic re-entry. If there is no active long position and the price is above all three moving averages a new long position is opened.
Exit Conditions
The script defines the exit condition for closing a long position. If the price closes below the third moving average, the script closes the long position.

AIR Vortex ADXThis project started as an effort to improve the user interface of the hybrid indicator ADX of Vortex, which is, as per the name, a blend of ADX and Vortex Indicator. Plotting both indicators on the same polarity and normalising the vortex, a better interpretation of the interaction between the two is possible, and trend becomes apparent.
Basically, the Vortex provides the bright punch and ADX the continuation of the trend and momentum.
A range mixer has been added to the vortex, comprising both true and interpercentile ranges (see my previous script for a desrciption of interpercentile range). Users can activate and add amounts of each as they see fit.
Finally, there is an RSI filter, the idea of which is to filter out ranging (flat) markets, where no distinct direction is yet emerging.
Trend Momentum SynthesizerBy analyzing the MACD (Moving Average Convergence Divergence) and Squeeze Momentum indicators, this indicator helps identify potential bullish, bearish, or undecided market conditions.
The algorithm within considers the positions of the MACD and Squeeze Momentum indicators to determine the overall market sentiment. When the indicators align and indicate a bullish market condition, the indicator's plot color will be either dark green, green, yellow, or lime, indicating a potential bullish trend. Conversely, if the indicators align and indicate a bearish market condition, the plot color will be maroon or red, denoting a potential bearish trend. When the indicators are inconclusive, the plot color will be orange, suggesting an undecided market.
The ADX is an addon component of this indicator, helping to assess the strength of a trend. By analyzing the ADX, the indicator determines whether a trend is strong enough, providing additional confirmation for potential trade signals. The ADX smoothing and DI (Directional Index) length parameters can be customized to suit individual trading preferences.
By combining these indicators, the algorithm provides traders with a comprehensive view of the market, helping them make informed trading decisions. It aims to assist traders in identifying potential market opportunities and aligns with the objective of maximizing trading performance.
How to use the indicator:
Note: I used back-testing for fine tuning do not base your trades on signals from the testing framework.
Fetch ATR + MA StrategyA trend following indicator that allows traders/investors to enter trades for the long term, as it is mainly tested on the daily chart. The indicator fires off buy and sell signals. The sell signals can be turned off as trader can decide to use this indicator for long term buy signals. The buy signals are indicated by the green diamonds, and the red diamonds show the points on then chart where the asset can be sold.
The indicator uses a couple indicators in order to generate the buy signals:
- ADX
- ATR
- Moving Average of ATR
- 50 SMA
- 200 SMA
The buy signal is generated at the cross overs of the 50 and 200 SMA's while the ATR is lower than then Moving Average of the ATR. The buy signal is fired when these conditions are met and if the ADX is lower than 30.
The thought process is as follows:
When the ATR is lower than its moving average, the price should be in a low volatilty environment. An ADX between 25 and 50 signals a Strong trend. Every value below 25 is an absent or weak trend. So entering a trade when the volatilty is still low but increasing, you'll be entering a trade at the start of a new uptrend. This mechanism also filters out lots of false signals of the simple cross overs.
The sell signals are fired every time the 50 SMA drops below the 200 SMA.
Strategy Myth-Busting #5 - POKI+GTREND+ADX - [MYN]This is part of a new series we are calling "Strategy Myth-Busting" where we take open public manual trading strategies and automate them. The goal is to not only validate the authenticity of the claims but to provide an automated version for traders who wish to trade autonomously.
Our fifth one we are automating is one of the strategies from "The Best 3 Buy And Sell Indicators on Tradingview + Confirmation Indicators ( The Golden Ones ))" from "Online Trading Signals (Scalping Channel)". No formal backtesting was done by them and resuructo messaged me asking if we could validate their claims.
Originally, we mimic verbatim the settings Online Trading Signals was using however weren't getting promising results. So before we stopped there we thought we might want to see if this could be improved on. So we adjusted the Renko Assignment modifier from ATR to Traditional and adjusted the value to be higher from 30 to 47. We also decided to try adding another signal confirmation to eliminate some of the ranged market conditions so we choose our favorite, ADX . Also, given we are using this on a higher time-frame we adjusted the G-Channel Trend detection source from close to OHLC4 to get better average price action indication and more accurate trend direction.
This strategy uses a combination of 2 open-source public indicators:
poki buy and sell Take profit and stop loss by RafaelZioni
G-Channel Trend Detection by jaggedsoft
Trading Rules
15m - 4h timeframe. We saw best results at the recommended 1 hour timeframe.
Long Entry:
When POKI triggers a buy signal
When G-Channel Trend Detection is in an upward trend (Green)
ADX Is above 25
Short Entry:
When POKI triggers a sell signal
When G-Channel Trend Detection is in an downward trend (red)
ADX Is above 25

Check out the full video for further details/clarification on strategy entry/exit conditions.
The default settings are exactly as TradeIQ described in his video.
However I found some better results by some tweaking settings, increasing R:R ratio and by turning off confirmation indicators.
This would suggest that perhaps the current confirmation indicators are not the best options. I'm happy to try add some other optional confirmation indicators if they look to be more effective.

(JS) Checklist SignalsWhat if I told you that you could use over 10 indicators at once without having a single one of them on you chart? Enter the Checklist Signals. This is probably the most complex yet simple indicator I've ever done.
What you get is 6 rows (if you want them all) of labels that hover at the top of your screen with a ton of extremely useful information. I will go down the list of options in the indicator settings and explain how it all works.
So the label placement is based on ATR. You choose your X Axis and Y Axis starting point then adjust the lookback period. Default lookback is 600 bars. What that means is, the indicator finds the highest high in the last 600 bars, then begins to place the labels above that zone based on the ATR of the chart. Different timeframes require very different combinations so it's all customizable. Sometimes if labels overlap you need to adjust the X Axis starting point, or the spread on either axis.
The next set of options allows you to decide what you'd prefer to be set on or off. Let's start with ATR and VWAP. I have added bands for both of these. When price is below the mean (which is the 21 ema by default), then the labels show you the next 5 standard deviations of ATR going down. When under one of these levels the label turns red. The opposite is true when above the mean and in those instances the labels will be green. It is the same with the VWAP, though instead of using the mean we use the daily VWAP as the starting point. If you choose to have levels switched on then you can see the actual values of each standard deviation level. Down lower in the options you can change the resolution and source used for VWAP.
The next option is "Trending". This creates a moving average using the length of the Trending Lookback Period (default is 5) and then tells you using arrows in the label which direction the trend of the indicator is going.
The next area let's you specify the information you receive in the Squeeze labels. By default all options are one - and this tells you if there's a Squeeze, what type of Squeeze there is, and how many bars the Squeeze has been building up or since it fired. These labels are color coded to correspond with the Squeeze type as well.
Then we get to another one of my indicators, the Ballista. One of the main signals is the "Inverted Squeeze" where the short term momentum inverts against the long term momentum. Here I have the distance between the two oscillators in the first label, and then the second label tells you if there's an Inverted Squeeze signal, if there's potential entry, confirmed entry, or how many bars its been since the last entry signal.
The next feature is off by default, but it will add arrows to your chart based on a simple lower highs and higher lows signals. Turning arrows on will place them right on your chart above or below each bar.
The rest of it is customizable settings of all the other indicators that are shown. Now looking at the labels themselves, starting in the top left corner:
First Row-
ADX + DMI: These labels show the ADX, DI+, & DI- values in each label. Whenever the DI+ or DI- is above the other then their respective label will light up. Also, when the ADX is above 20 (confirming the trend) it lights up in the same color as well.
Squeeze: I described how this worked above, the labels tell you if there's a Squeeze, how long there's been one, and how long since it fired, all while also changing to color of the associated Squeeze type.
Second Row -
Stacked EMAs: The top label looks at the EMA values using the numbers of the Fibonacci sequence. It looks at the EMA 8, 21, 34, 55, 89, & 233 and tells you if they're all stacked in the same direction (Stacked Bear meaning they're all crossed down in order, Stacked Bull meaning they're all crossed up in order). If the EMAs are all stacked but 1 or 2 it will say Stacked -1 or Stacked -2. When they're all over the place it will say they aren't stacked at all.
BB%: This tells you the value of the Bollinger Band %. If this is negative then you know that price is currently below the lower Bollinger Band, and if it is above 100% it is above the upper Bollinger Band.
RSI: This tells you the value of the RSI and the label changes colors based on the value.
Stoch: This tells you the Stochastic value and changes colors based on the value, same as the RSI.
Third Row -
The Mean: This tells you the numerical value of whatever you have the mean set as (21 ema by default). The label changes colors based on price being above or below the mean.
One ATR: This was something I added for those looking to plan their trades out. This tells you the value of one ATR so you can have a better idea of how to plan your trades based on this distance.
VIX: This tells you the current value of the VIX, and color changes based on being green or red on the day.
Ballista: I explained this above, it tells you the distance between the two oscillators and changes colors based on the trend being above or below 0. When there's an Inverted Squeeze this label is gray.
Inverted Squeeze: This label tells you if there's an inverted squeeze as well as if it is showing an entry or how many bars since the last entry signal. This label turns fuchsia on a bear signal and lime on a bull signal.
Fourth Row -
ATR Bands: As I explained above, this plots each standard deviation using ATR and changes colors based on price's relationship to each one.
Fifth Row -
VWAP: The three labels here show the daily, weekly, and monthly VWAP values, and color changes based on price's relationship to each one.
Sixth Row -
VWAP Bands: These are the standard deviation levels of the VWAP resolution of your choosing (as explained above), and just as the others, colors change based on price's relationship to each one.
I thought this was a really cool indicator that could be used for people like me who like knowing the right information, but HATE having their charts clustered with a ton of stuff. Hope you all like it, enjoy!
Super Sniper - Screener - MTF- Multi Asset -Multi IndicatorSuper Sniper Screener with Multi Indicator EMA Crossover, Trend, ADX, MACD, SSL, CCI, STOCHASTIC, RSI, HMA, QQE, WAE. Trade Entry/Exit with multiple Indicator for Multiple Assets and Multiple Timeframe. if you are on a Higher / Lower Time frame and are looking for Entry/Exit based on a lower timeframe then this indicator is the best. The all in one screener for EMA Crossover, Trend, ADX, MACD, SSL, CCI, STOCHASTIC, RSI, HMA, QQE, WAE
What is Sniper Entry?
if you are on a Higher / Lower Time frame and are looking for Entry/Exit based on a lower timeframe then this indicator is the best.
About this indicator.
horizontal Lines are in pink (down) and blue(up) color grey (neutral)
10 horizontal lines are plotted each for a timeframe + Asset / Currency / Stock
Back ground represents UP/DOWN Trend based on EMA 200 with the current time frame.
RED-Dot and GREEN-Dot are buy sell signals of SSL Channel for current Time Frame.
You can choose only one type of indicator (EMA Crossover, Trend, ADX, MACD, SSL, CCI, STOCHASTIC, RSI, HMA, QQE, WAE) for all the 10-lines
Select Asset and Timeframe for Each Line on the Graph.
Based on the color of the line and changes on Multi Timeframe you can ENTER/EXIT a Trade on current Timeframe.
Hence a Sniper Entry with multiple Indicator Screener
BB-RSI-ADX Entry PointsThis is a combination of indicators used to find oversold and overbought entry points for possible reversion.
A Green arrow will appear when all condition are met for an ENTER LONG position.
A Red arow will appear when all condition are met for an ENTER SHORT position.
You can modify all of these condition parameters from the indicator's settings.
How does the indicator work
The signals are using Bollinger Bands , BB %B , RSI and ADX indicators to try and find points of reversal
Enter LONG Conditions
Current candle low is below BB lower band.
The BB %B is more than 0.
RSI > 30
ADX > 25
Enter SHORT Conditions
Current candle high is above BB upper band.
The BB %B is less than 1.
RSI < 70
ADX > 25
Those are the default settings that seem to work for me but you can customize all of these from the indicator settings.
I find this strategy to best work on a 3 minute timeframe
Note: The bb %B is calculated for stDev - 1. This will help you see a change happening faster.
ADeXtIt is an extended ADX and Direction Movement Index indicator with the following changes:
It shows a histogram instead of the DMI lines. If the histogram is green, the DMI+ is above DMI-, otherwise it is red.
You can specify a multiplier for the histogram values to check if values are above threshold. This way you can use the same threshold line as ADX to detect directional strength.
You can remove outliers from ATR calculations
You can use different MAs and sources for DMI and ATR calculations to make ADX more adjustable to different markets
It uses my ADExt library, so you can easily transfer your study to a strategy script.
Contrarian Scalping Counter Trend Bb Envelope Adx and StochasticContrarian Scalping is an trading strategy designed to take advanted of a counter-trend.
The advantage of these strrategies types is that they have a good profitability but with do not great gain (in relation at the time frame).
Indicators used:
Bollinger
Envelope
ADX
Stochastic
Rules for entry
For short: close of the price is above upper band from bb and envelope, adx is below 30 and stochastic is above 50
For long: close of the price is below lower band from bb and envelope, adx is below 30 and stochastic is below 50
Rules for exit
For short: either close of the candle is below lower band of bb or enveloper or stochastic is below 50
For long: either close o the candle is above upper band of bb or envelope or stochastic is above 50
