Home assignment - BackTesting

I'm backtesting one of my favourite pairs - GU
Identifying liquidity, trend line, key zone of rejection, expansion and retracement.
These all interact to cause trends to be broken and allow us to enter for a buy or sell.
I'm new to really backtesting so any advice will be appreciated.
