Monday post will include something about 1270 - 1348 ( Long Term ) and of course Intraday.
Long-Term post just in this idea - just once - just because I am getting questions about it.
Like I said - I am out from Long-Term Trading - Last week's performance and trading style can probably answer you why.
Let's say I would be doing Long Term, let's say I'm short from 1350 or if I am a super pro and I have short from 1357 pip in a pip.
I'm waiting for let's say 1300.00
At the moment I would have gained 37$ move and paid plenty in swaps and it's been since September 8. 37$ are floating! It is not something I have in my pocket - locked.
If Gold goes up I may end up with Trail Stop hit, or BE ( depends on what I have ). And after a long time, it all may end up with pennies.
While for example since September 8 with Intraday I have gained/locked in:
Sell from:
1357.xx - 1346.xx = 11$
1354.xx - 1346.xx = 8$
1351.xx - 1346.xx = 5$
Buy from:
1333.xx Closed at BE = 0$
1327.xx - 1331.xx = 4$
1324.xx - 1331.xx = 7$
Sell From:
1333.xx - 1323.xx = 10$
1333.xx - 1323.xx = 10$
1328.xx - 1323.xx = 5$
Buy From:
1323.xx - 1333.xx = 10$
1322.xx - 1333.xx = 11$
1320.xx - 1333.xx = 13$
One Loss Sell from 1322.xx - 1320.xx = minus 2$
Couple Break Evens as well.
Total = 92$ 92$ Move Carl!

Okay, now about the analysis. Hey, whats up with 1270? Seems that ( based on how much messages I get ) a lot of people have bad positions around 1250-1270.
I will not ask why...
The thing with 1270 is that I believe it can be reached based on Timing.

I had the same situation with 1270, you remember! I started to sell at 1311 - 1317 then the Fatboy Kim launch and all that up moving! Is why I got sick with this Long-term Bull$... and started intraday again, furthermore to get ready for 2-100k challenge.

SO if 1270 IS a valid target! Then Gold really should start to go for it, because soon it will be a month.
BUT there is one more thing. 1348.
The fact is that when it comes to - what's stronger 1270 / 1348? I can raise both hands and say 1348.
Yes Lads and Gents, 1348 is a target too. Not because of the Gap! But because that back on that Monday 1348 was a dynamic Tendency pivot.
If these are not reached I always used them to call all my long term trades!
SO having that in mind - if it is time to reach 1270 ( IF IF IF and one more time just IF ) it is Valid because it is not taken from Tendency Pivot Category, then Gold Should start to move down to reach it. And if SO then anywhere from there it should start to move back up to reach 1348 because cycle usually is little less than 1 month, and if Gold makes it down then timewise it should start to make it back to reach 1348. I am way more confident in 1348 than 1270, and I wouldn't be surprised if we reach 1348 and we ain't going down, if so I for sure trash 1270 from my mind.
I hope I have been clear with what I see in Long-Term now, BUT I haven't done any single Long Term calculation since September 8, so I have no idea what is going on there now.
Now about the intraday. Intraday suggests a sell for us today! Last Friday before close I mentioned that if Gold want's to be a BULLY need a close above 1322. Didn't happen!

Intraday Review!
First, if you remember I said if 1320 broken by 1$ downwards then next target 1316 etc. Forget about 1320 now! Today it became nothing. That is why working with dynamics is great, you can be flexible. Friday it was marked as strong level, today I don't have one single level marking it as something to watch out for, so I am throwing this level out today. Just so it is clear.
We are in front of next possible move as per sentiments we should move out from the range soon enough.
Today first move is VERY important! I Stress that. This is one of those days when There is a very powerful sell pressure/setup. Reading market behavior I have done a research that if Gold want's to do something quickly without hesitation, it always quickly does the test backs on Dynamic levels! A great example was Friday. Broke 1330 down, quick Test back and more fall. Break 1328 down quick test back and more down! Break 1325, quick enough test and down. If you notice such behavior it means it is deleting " upward business " and want's to go down! This is how Gold acts! I have gone through 12 years back in the chart backtesting Dynamics and seeing how gold acts, and such quick tests, level tag's etc, always signal that Gold is indicating a healthy directional continuation.
The same with the first move! If Gold is really willing to have the sell pressure mode ON, it will not be hesitant after close and will quickly move up to 1322. ( 1322 is a sell level ) and it will fall. And again if it falls down but starts to hesitate the fall down at around 1318 - 1316 and moves back up then it is not bear. Today all Tendency Pivots are above. Not like there is something below! SO after going down coming back to them again says - break it.
If the first move is down to 1316 it is a clear Bull setup with targets 1322 - 1328
So Either move up to 1322 and fall down for good.
Either move to 1322 fall down but get exhausted at 1316 area and move back up with 90% chance to break 1322.
Either Move down to 1316 first and then back up with more than assured break of 1322 and more up!
Either a MIRACLE move up to 1322 and break it right away>> whaaat?? :D
Anyway, I'll take it in my trade book and after a pullback, I'll take Long.
But straightforward break of 1322 means Gold is really Bullish and I take my bets we move to 1348 this time.
1322 is a real challenge for Gold Today. Other than that if it is not willing to fall today even with 1322 sell pressure it will just be lazy the whole day moving sideways so after close data for Tuesday new dynamics can be given that may be bullish.
I am interested in today's first movement development, so I'll be closely monitoring the whole time and actively updating my actions.
My bets are - move to 1322 and fall because of that 1315 spike that day that opened phase to 1310, and because that Sub pivots today are at 1314 and upward movement pivots are very tight. If these pivots are tight they signal that there is not a lot of space to go and tends to create pressure. Either way, 1322 needs a really powerful break anyway if this want's to be a bully.

While doing recalculation I noticed one thing 1315.
The previous Low yesterday! And I remembered that I was not recalculating it.
That L entered a new phase and to see it I had to take it as close price.
So I just did. Like I said I read these break out as signs, market leaves signs about further moves ( hints ) for future.
That 1315 tag opened doors to 1310.

And it indeed reached 1315 created target 1310.
NOW.. it is important to move up!
We can't just go like that without reaching 1322... come on.!

1304 is monthly key level in confluence with intraday analysis. After open tomorrow the first move should be up anyway so this buy will be risk-free meaning that least I could get is Break Even.
